Can you eat honeycomb?

The beeswax comb that contains raw honey is 100% natural and edible. Whilst our system does not break down beeswax, it is safe to eat and contains honey and pollen which are packed full of nutritious vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants.

All-natural honeycomb is the bee’s knees when it comes to dressing up your cheese plate. A wedge of dripping honeycomb is easily cut and added to your favourite cheese. The beeswax is edible and is full of sweet honey. A perfect contrast to the saltiness of cheese.

The saltiness of cheese is beautifully complemented by the sweetness of honey. Honeycomb has enough structure to cut and spread. Try with a triple cream, goats cheese or brie on crusty bread or crackers. Harder cheeses like parmesan, gruyere or comte can be enjoyed with no other accompaniment – just raw honeycomb dripping with honey.
